This is just my face: Try not to stare- A book review

I don’t think I’ve read an autobiography before but this sounds like something I would laugh out loud to!

Perfectly Imperfect

“After two years of telling the truth on the page, as I know it, I’ve written an entire book that has helped me reshape my view on life, my work, my body, my family, and most importantly, myself.” ~Gabourey Sidibe

Gabourey Sidibe. You may know her from the movie, Precious, or from the hit TV show, Empire. In addition to being an actress and director, Sidibe has become an author with her first book,  This is Just my Face: Try Not to Stare.

As I read this book, I felt like I went from being a fan to being a friend. I say this because her writing style makes you feel like she’s having a tell-all conversation with you over dinner. This book is honest, funny, dramatic, and unbelievable all at the same time.
